NTT Docomo has followed up on the recent hottest smartphones in Japan with a slew of updated Spring releases. Available beginning November and the months after, many of these Android Gingerbread (2.3) models are able to support Osaifu-Keitai mobile wallet, 1Seg mobile TV and Xi (pronounced "Crossy"), the telco's next-generation LTE service.
First up is the Aquos phone SH-01D, which is a waterproof handset with a 4.5-inch ultra-HD (720 x 1,280 pixels) LCD. The rear-facing camera shoots at 12 megapixels. Users can also pay for purchases with the Osaifu-Keitai mobile wallet function and watch videos on 1Seg mobile TV.

A step up from the wildly-popular Galaxy S II, this LTE handset is compatible with Xi and runs on a 1.5GHz dual-core processor (the Galaxy S II only clocks in at 1.2GHz).Although it lacks the mobile wallet and mobile TV feature, we can imagine this phone on our list of Top 10 phones if it ever makes its way to our shores.
