AppId is over the quota
Following the biggest BlackBerry service disruption in history, Research in Motion has found a way to apologize--by giving out free stuff. The Canada-based company is offering free downloads of premium apps--worth more than US$100 in total--from the BlackBerry App World from October 19 to December 31.
Some of the apps that will be made available for free include: The Sims 3N.O.V.A.Texas Hold'em PokerPhoto Editor UltimateDriveSafe.ly ProiSpeech Translator ProShazam EncoreVlingo PlusThis may be great news for millions worldwide, who suffered through three days of service outage.
We wonder if it's enough to appease frustrated users though. Many have expressed their intention to switch OSes, and Microsoft has tried to tempt BlackBerry users away from the platform by dangling free Mango phones as bait.
BlackBerry users, do you think it's too late to apologize?
